Emirates NBD receives Two International Awards in Washington

Financial Group Receives Best Bank in the UAE and Best Trade Finance Provider Awards for the Year 2007

Emirates NBD, the banking group resulting from the merger of Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai has received two prestigious accolades from leading industry magazine Global Finance at an awards ceremony held recently in Washington DC, USA. The awards reflect the individual strengths of the merged banks and points to continued future success.

National Bank of Dubai, an Emirates NBD company was named as Best Bank in the UAE by Global Finance Magazine for the fifth consecutive year in recognition of its growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service and innovative products.

At the same ceremony, Emirates Bank, also an Emirates NBD Company, was named Best Trade Finance Provider in the UAE for 2007 based on its experienced professionals in trade finance and factoring combined with its understanding of both local and international trade practices, which has resulted in a significant market share of the trade finance business.
